MEES compliance audits
Know what needs attention. Decide what happens next.
A low rating, a letting question or incomplete evidence can leave you unsure where to start. A structured MEES review brings the documents and decisions together into a practical next-step plan.
Scope, quote and appointment confirmed with you.

Start here when…
- An F or G rating raises a potential current letting issue.
- You are unsure which requirements apply to the property or tenancy.
- You need to decide between further assessment, improvements or an exemption review.
A few details make a better brief.
- The existing EPC and property details
- Tenancy or intended letting information
- Any works, consent or exemption evidence
You don’t need every answer to start the conversation.
A clear process, from the first request.
Bring the evidence together
Start with the EPC, property use, tenancy question and any previous work or exemption information.
Review the compliance position
Identify the relevant scope, evidence gaps and issues requiring further specialist review.
Agree the next action
Receive prioritised next steps, with an improvement brief or exemption investigation where appropriate.
Know what you’re arranging.
- EPC and property evidence review
- Current compliance position and issues to investigate
- Prioritised next steps and an improvement brief
- Exemption routes to consider, where applicable
The final quote confirms what is included for your property.

Is this the same as an EPC?
An EPC is an energy assessment and certificate. A MEES review connects the EPC and property evidence to the compliance questions you need to resolve.
Does every low-rated property need the same work?
No. The property, tenancy, existing measures and relevant evidence determine the appropriate route.
Can you investigate an exemption?
An audit can identify routes worth investigating. Eligibility needs the appropriate evidence and a valid applicable registration; it is not automatic.
Can I proceed straight into improvements?
Discuss the review findings and agree a suitable scope before commissioning works. Appropriate modelling and quotations may be needed first.
